Kick Your Envisioning into Fifth Gear with a Vision Board
Paula Swope
For the past two weeks, I have focused on envisioning. It is my absolute favorite metaphysical concept, and I believe in it wholeheartedly. This week, Ellen DeGeneres and I are going to show you how to give your envisioning work power by teaching you how to make a Vision Board. In case this is a new concept to you, a Vision Board is nothing too complicated. It is a display of pictures and words that illustrate the things in life you want to manifest. You can put anything you want on it. There is no right or wrong answer when you make your Vision Board.

When I started studying metaphysics and the laws of attraction, it was not long until I learned about the power of constructing my own Vision Board. I think I was 29 or 30 when I made my first one, and the timing for making the board was impeccable because I knew what type of life I wanted. Knowing what you want and what you do not want plays a significant role in the effectiveness of your board, so make sure you know exactly what you want before you start this exercise. If you need help, go back to the my blog entitled Your Thoughts are the Bricks that Build the House You Live In, but You Must Figure Out What Type of House You Don’t Want to Get the One You Want.

My first Vision Board contained images of me with a soulmate. While flipping through a magazine, I saw a picture of a man and a woman. Their backs were turned to the camera and they were wearing bath towels while brushing their teeth together facing the bathroom mirror. Something about that picture resonated because my intimate relationships had been so empty, superficial, unhealthy, and I never felt close to anyone I had ever dated. Certainly not close enough to be sharing a bathroom! But when I saw that picture, I knew that type of relationship was what I really needed and wanted. I cut the picture out and I placed it on my board.

I was never the girl that dreamed of a white wedding. I never bought bridal magazines or longed for a fairytale wedding, but I did admire beautiful engagement rings. In another magazine, I stumbled across an image of an engagement ring I adored. The ring was white gold, 2 carats, princess cut, halo design with a split diamond band. I loved that ring and had never seen one like it, so I cut the picture out and placed it on my board.

Other images on the board demonstrated what a work from home lifestyle looked like to me. I also placed images that reflected home ownership, financial independence, and properties by the ocean and the lake.

Keep in mind when I made this board, I was broke, financially dependent on my father, very single, and unemployed.

It is now 2020. I am 43. The relationship I have with my husband is the relationship that was depicted in that image of the couple sharing a bathroom while brushing their teeth. I am a homeowner who is financially independent and with a cushy work from home career. Through destiny, manifestation, and the Divine, my husband and I have access to properties by the lake and the ocean.

And guess what this is a picture of?

The diamond ring in the middle of the two diamond bands is the engagement ring my husband presented when he proposed marriage in 2015. It is the exact same design I placed on my Vision Board about eight years before I received it.

In July 2019, I made another Vision Board to reflect my current wants. Plus, I am writing a book, which is the biggest project I have ever taken on, so I need to make sure I communicate what I want to the Universe clearly. Some of the images on my Vision Board are petty material wants that we have, but most of the images portray the important stuff. For instance, notice the image that has information about the Paula Swope Foundation. One of my dreams is to acquire enough wealth to send any kid to college that has a burning desire to escape poverty.

Another dream I have is to become a New York Times Best Selling author, so notice what I did with the images on my board. It is as though I have already obtained that status and am doing book signings at famous bookstores.

Here is an image of the whole board. I am still adding to it, as you can see there are blank spots, but do you see that black Mercedes? I placed that image on there in August 2019. By December 2019, I owned the vehicle.

When you make your Vision Board, take your time. After all, you are creating your reality. It needs to be well-thought out. Place your Vision Board in an area of your home where you see it every single day. Mine hangs on the wall beside of my bed, so when I wake up, the first thing I see is my reality. It is also nice to wake up to a positive affirmation like “Riches of Every Sort Are Drawn to Me!”

Ellen DeGeneres is a dedicated practitioner of metaphysics, and she is known for manifesting her reality with Vision Boards. Click here to watch her talk about how she accomplishes goals with Vision Boards - https://youtu.be/EqsbtOOECXw.

I would love to see your Vision Boards, so share images of them if you feel comfortable.

Thank you for being here. Greatly appreciate your willingness to allow me to teach you how to do this.
