Snob Life: Why Snobs are Healthier, Happier, and Wealthier than You

I can feel and see your shock coming through the computer screen, but you aren’t imagining things. I really just said that. It’s true. Snobs are happier, healthier, and wealthier. Before you start planning my demise, hear me out. I’m introducing a new concept about the benefits of being a thought snob. I’m talking about a specific kind of snob that has nothing to do with pretention or anything materialistic.



So, we have our car snobs, fashion snobs, hotel snobs, bourbon snobs, food snobs, and we even have designer dog snobs, for God’s sake. If we are so picky about material things, and the stuff we consume, why do we allow any ole’ trashy thought in?


I bet you can’t answer that, because you’ve never entertained the notion of the thought snob concept. Well, I hadn’t either until yesterday, so it doesn’t make you a bad person.


Our thoughts are free. We own them. We control them. Our thoughts are what guide the Universe. Think about it this way. Would you take off driving to a foreign place without putting the address into your GPS? Of course, you wouldn’t, because your intention is to get to your destination safely and peacefully. Our thoughts communicate with the Universe the exact same way we communicate with a GPS. Our thoughts tell the Universe where we want to go, and how we want to get there. Why would we ever give the Universe the wrong information about what we want?


The answer is simple. We give the Universe the wrong information because we aren’t aware of the power of our most dominant thought patterns. It’s a subconscious act.


Research shows we have approximately 60,000 thoughts per day, and a large percentage of those thoughts do not reflect what we want. As a matter of fact, most of them are lies. Before I started practicing Transcendental Meditation, I would wake up in the middle of the night stressing over anything from how I was going to style my hair for an event to getting in a car accident. At 4:00 am, I would be in a frenzy over things that were not true. Feeling like this attracted in some less than mediocre experiences, because racing thoughts ruled my world for over three decades.


After years of meditation, living on purpose, and reaping the miraculous benefits of the Law of Attraction, I am a thought snob, and a proud one at that! My nose goes straight up in the air at the first sight of any thought that does not reflect what I want. I won’t speak to any thought that doesn’t serve my highest good. And I sure as hell am not hanging out with thoughts that lie and lower my energetic vibration. The thought must be of the highest quality possible before I allow it into my precious energy space.


My thoughts are my most expensive asset, so if it takes being a snob to guard my most prized possession then so be it. When you start being a thought snob, look out, because every aspect of your life becomes “snobby.”


If you’re interested in becoming a thought snob, here’s how to do it.


· Focus on yourself


· Meditate


· Stop people pleasing


· Kick toxic people to the curb


· Upgrade your inner circle


· Refuse to give any attention to what you don’t want


· Turn your nose up at anyone who discourages you


· Place 100% of your attention on what you DO want


· Daydream more, work less


Thought snobs ask two questions when negative thoughts creep in.


Is this true?


Where did this thought come from?


Nine times out of ten the answers are:


No.


Fear.


Lying, fearful thoughts spawn from ego. Once you are aware of this, you will have better control of your thoughts. If you refuse to pay attention to worrisome thoughts that evoke fear, most of them go away after a few seconds. Awareness is key. During times when an obstructing thought keeps surfacing, ask for help. Say this:


“Universe, God that is me, I no longer have any need for this thought because it does not serve my highest good. I ask that you fuel me with the Divine wisdom, intelligence, and strength to assist in keeping my thoughts focused only on what I want. I release the need for any gloom and doom thoughts. My energy space is sacred, and I protect it with thoughts of abundance, perfect health, and happiness, because those things reflect who I am. Thank you for being my silent partner.”


The opposite of a thought snob is a thought slut. Thought sluts behave differently because they allow any thought in regardless of the quality. You might be a thought slut if…


· You have racing thoughts all the time


· Worry, fear, guilt, and regret are your best buddies


· You always assume worst case scenario


· You have little to no control over your emotions


· Falling apart is your favorite pastime


· You expect defeat


· Your inner circle is toxic


I am a reformed thought slut, and I can tell you in complete honesty that thought snobs are better. Thought snobs belong to an exclusive club, and there aren’t that many of us in comparison to the number of thought sluts.


Be a snob. Get up on your high horse and look down on all of the poor thought sluts as they trip and stumble over their ridiculousness while your snobby ass gets healthier, happier, and wealthier by the minute.
