Signs You're Ready for Change
Signs You're Ready for Change

God communicates in mysterious ways—and rarely in an audible voice. The Divine doesn’t speak the way humans do. Instead, guidance often arrives through signs. Subtle ones. Persistent ones. Signs that are easy to overlook if you don’t know what you’re looking for.

One of the clearest signs you’re ready for change is that you no longer enjoy the same old things. Maybe you spent years barhopping with the same group of friends, and now it feels like a chore instead of fun. Nothing is wrong with those people or those routines—you’ve simply outgrown them. What once energized you now drains you.

Alongside that disinterest, you may feel a quiet pull toward learning something new. It’s not loud or urgent—it’s more like a gentle nudge. You find yourself curious about a subject, hobby, or path you never considered before. That pull matters. It’s not random. It’s often the first breadcrumb leading you toward your next chapter.

Another sign? You become disenchanted with close-minded people—especially family members or longtime friends. The mindsets you once admired or tolerated now irritate you. Conversations feel repetitive, shallow, or restrictive. Even the physical environments you’ve always occupied may suddenly feel uncomfortable. Nothing changed externally—you did.

Your tastes start to change, too. Food, clothing, movies, music, restaurants, travel destinations—almost everything. This isn’t superficial. Taste reflects identity. When your preferences shift, it’s often because your inner world is reorganizing itself.

Sometimes, when change is imminent, trouble seems to follow you. Things don’t work out the way you plan. Life feels chaotic. You feel unsettled, dissatisfied, and far from peaceful. This phase can feel discouraging, but it’s often a clearing process. Old structures begin to crumble because they can’t support who you’re becoming.

Then come the lifted veils. You start seeing people and situations clearly—sometimes painfully so. Patterns you ignored are suddenly obvious. You feel called to step away from dynamics that no longer align with your values or your nervous system. And for the first time in your life, you actually have the guts to walk away.

You may even begin planning an “escape”—not in a reckless way, but intentionally. You start envisioning a different life and quietly preparing to bring those visions into reality.

If people, places, and things that never bothered you before suddenly bother you now, and you can’t quite explain why, this is likely why: you’re evolving—and your environment isn’t.

This isn’t uncommon. We are meant to evolve over a lifetime. Unfortunately, not everyone gets the memo.

This season can be challenging. It can feel lonely, confusing, and uncomfortable. But as long as you don’t turn on yourself—don’t numb, abandon, or betray your inner knowing—there are rewards waiting on the other side. Change isn’t punishment. It’s initiation.

And if you’re feeling these signs, you’re not broken. You’re becoming.
